The tension on the springs is adjustable with a screwdriver so you can make a tighter hold if you like. Now it is very quick to get the top hull off, just give it sharp pull. No more scratched paint work from slipped screw driver at the pool! Ramesh

Thanks. Yes I use grease on the springs to stop them rusting. Should be ok but cheap and easy to replace . Ramesh
